A NOx measurement monitors the amount of nitrogen oxides emitted by a heating system. During this process, we measure the concentration of NO and NO₂ in the flue gases of, for example, gas boilers, CHPs, and furnaces. The measurement demonstrates whether the installation complies with the applicable emission standards from the Decree on Activities in the Living Environment (Bal).
For many gas appliances, a NOx measurement is legally required above a certain capacity. This obligation often applies from 400 kW or 1 MW. After commissioning, the first measurement must usually be carried out within 4 weeks. This is followed by a periodic measurement obligation.
For heating systems with a nominal thermal input greater than 1 MW, a measurement frequency of once every three years generally applies.
SCIOS Scope 6 inspections
NOx measurements fall under SCIOS Scope 6. Zantingh is SCIOS-certified to perform these inspections and measurements. Our specialists work according to the applicable standards and have passed recognized SCIOS exams for this purpose.
In addition, Zantingh is NEN-EN-ISO 9001 certified. This ensures the quality of our working methods and reporting.
Combining inspection and maintenance
In addition to inspections, Zantingh also performs maintenance on heating systems. Because we are familiar with the installations, we often combine inspection and maintenance during a single visit. This prevents additional downtime and saves time and costs.
Our advisors are happy to assist you with the planning of a mandatory NOx measurement or a combined maintenance and inspection contract.
