Control over CO\u2082 distribution in the greenhouse<\/h1>\n\t\t\t\t

CO\u2082 plays a vital role in crop growth. In modern, well-insulated greenhouses, natural CO\u2082 levels drop rapidly. This directly affects the growth and yield of the crop. That is why many growers opt for an active CO\u2082 system. <\/p>

A well-functioning CO\u2082 system starts with clean flue gases. These must contain sufficient CO\u2082, with the lowest possible NOx emissions and no carbon monoxide. Only then can flue gases be safely used for CO\u2082 dosing in the greenhouse. Zantingh supplies complete CO\u2082 systems for greenhouse horticulture. We take into account the flue gas source, the greenhouse design, the crop, and the desired CO\u2082 distribution in the greenhouse. Based on these factors, we determine which fans, controls, and piping structures are required. Our systems consist of three interconnected components: CO\u2082 fans, CO\u2082 calculations, and CO detection. <\/p>

The CO\u2082 fans transport flue gases from the boiler or CHP plant to the greenhouse. Where necessary, the fans mix the flue gases with outside air. The fans are made of stainless steel and equipped with control technology and safety features tailored to the installation. <\/p>

To ensure even distribution, we calculate the piping network in advance using our own software. We take the greenhouse design, crop type, and heat supply in the greenhouse into account. This results in a piping network that distributes CO\u2082 evenly across the sections. <\/p>

Safety remains an integral part of the system. Using CO detectors, we continuously monitor the flue gases for carbon monoxide. If the CO concentration becomes too high, the system intervenes automatically. This monitoring is particularly important for installations with multiple flue gas sources. <\/p>
